Dramatic Arts Grade 12 exam question paper is made up of Four Sections (Section A, Section B, Section C, and Section D). This is an exam question paper of 150 marks in total, written in 3 hours.

SectionPrescribed Texts and Examination Instructions
SECTION AQuestion 1 is COMPULSORY.
Students must refer to one prescribed play text and its relevant 20th-century European Theatre Movement:

Epic Theatre: Caucasian Chalk Circle (Bertolt Brecht), Kaukasiese Krytsirkel (Translation), Mother Courage (Bertolt Brecht), Moeder Courage (Translation), The Good Person of Szechwan (Bertolt Brecht), or Kanna Hy Kô Hystoe (Adam Small).
OR
Theatre of the Absurd: Waiting for Godot (Samuel Beckett), Afspraak met Godot (Translation), Bagasie (André P Brink), The Bald Primadonna (Eugene Ionesco), or Die Kaalkop Primadonna (Translation).
OR
Postmodern Theatre: Skrapnel (Willem Anker), Top Girls (Carol Churchill), Popcorn (Ben Elton), or Buried Child (Sam Shepard).
SECTION BConsists of three questions. Answer only ONE question:
Question 2: Woza Albert! (Percy Mtwa, Mbongeni Ngema, and Barney Simon)
OR
Question 3: Sophiatown (Junction Avenue Theatre Company)
OR
Question 4: Siener in die Suburbs (PG du Plessis)
SECTION CConsists of three questions. Answer only ONE question:
Question 5: Nothing but the Truth (John Kani)
OR
Question 6: Groundswell (Ian Bruce)
OR
Question 7: Missing (Reza de Wet)
SECTION DThis section is COMPULSORY.
Students must answer both Question 8 and Question 9.

Although we tried our best to provide most of the Dramatic Arts Grade 12 exam papers, written from the year 2020 up to date, we struggled to find all papers for this subject. This is not a very popular matric subject. Therefore, papers are very scarce.
